A Warm Welcome…
to our new parish councillors Catherine Fisher and Tina Murphy as of January 2025.
There’s still one vacancy, if you’re interested in becoming a councillor please email our clerk Trevor Gear.
Nectar Café / Gilcrux Wells
Work was delayed on the nectar café last year due to wet ground and the particular logistics of that area, but the volunteers hope to resume work in spring 2025. Meantime, Michael and Debbie Taylor-Davies and parishioner Mark Leckenby continue to tidy up the wells in the village and this spring will be focusing on Chapel Well. This is a volunteer-led project and if you would like to lend a hand that would be much appreciated. Please contact Debbie, Michael or Mark. (20 Jan 2025.)
The maintenance of the wells and nectar café is made possible from donations by:
Christine’s Kitchen “Little Jars of Lusciousness. A great selection of jams, chutneys and marmalades. All homemade.” 07931 790763
Kevin Armstrong Building and Roofing. Telephone Gilcrux 20615
Gilcrux Parish Council
The Mason’s Arms, Gilcrux. “Traditional village pub with a warm welcome. Pool table, dart board, wood burning stove, great food! Dog friendly.” Telephone Gilcrux 23267
The team will begin clearing, making good and planting out Chapel Well with appropriate ferns and native wildflowers once construction work around the area has been completed. Again, if you would like to lend a hand please contact Debbie, Michael or Mark. (25 July 2024.)
